Job Description

The Transport Executive will manage daily transport operations, monitor vehicle and goods movements, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery in line with company policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily transport operations

  • Ensure timely supply of vehicles for loading and delivery

  • Monitor goods in transit for on-time and intact delivery

  • Track vehicle movements, fuel usage, and delivery timelines

  • Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and logistics teams

  • Handle transport-related issues such as delays, breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, trip sheets, fuel consumption, and costs

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, traffic laws, and company policies

  • Support cost control initiatives by optimizing routes and vehicle utilization

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • 2–5 years’ experience in transport or logistics operations, preferably in FMCG/distribution

  • Good understanding of fleet management and goods distribution processes

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliveries

  • Basic knowledge of route planning and cost control

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
